Delete your ShopMate account
A ShopMate account can be deleted inside the Android app, or a deletion request can be started from this page without reinstalling or opening the app.
Delete from the app
- Sign in to ShopMate. Use the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings. Choose the account-deletion action and review the explanation shown by the app.
- Confirm deletion. Recent authentication may be required before ShopMate can complete a destructive account action.
Request deletion on the web
Send the request from the email address associated with the ShopMate account to [email protected] with the subject “ShopMate account deletion request.” State that you want the ShopMate account tied to your sending address deleted. Do not include your password. We may ask for reasonable verification to protect the account from an unauthorized deletion request.
What happens to the data
Deleted
- Authentication account and private profile information associated with the deleted account.
- Private records and account-owned uploads that the app identifies for deletion.
- Local account data on the device when the in-app deletion flow clears it.
Anonymized or limited retention
- Public catalog contributions may remain in anonymized form so shared product and price history is not broken.
- Photo links associated with the deleted account are cleared.
- Nonpublic moderation records may be kept in pseudonymous form for safety, abuse prevention, disputes, or legal obligations.
- Security logs and records required by law may be retained only for the applicable purpose and period.
Visit ShopMate Support or email [email protected]. Deletion is permanent, so export or save anything you need before confirming the request.
