ShopMate combines timestamped community price observations, product and store search, optional barcode scanning, and a privacy-conscious receipt workflow. Price records may be incomplete or out of date, so the app shows context instead of promising a guaranteed result.

Community observations can help with comparison, but they are not a promise that an item is available or that a store will honor a particular price.
Optional barcode scanning
The camera is used only when a user starts live barcode scanning. ShopMate remains usable if camera access is denied.
On-device receipt review
Chosen receipt images are processed on device. Users review extracted items before submitting confirmed information.
User-initiated nearby discovery
Location access is optional. Approximate and precise location requests are separated according to the action selected.
Privacy at a glance
ShopMate contains no third-party ads and does not use Android's Advertising ID. Account, contribution, optional location, and first-party analytics data are handled as described in the ShopMate Privacy Policy. Account deletion details are available on the public deletion page.
