Privacy Policy
SquareQuote is designed as a local-first contractor tool. This policy explains how the app uses camera and photo access, how receipt data is processed on device, what is stored locally, and how Apple subscriptions fit into the product.
Local-first receipt handling
Receipt images selected or scanned in SquareQuote are intended for local quote creation, OCR review, and export workflows controlled by the user.
- Receipt images are used to help create quote line items and reference material.
- On-device Vision OCR is used for text recognition and receipt parsing.
- SquareQuote does not send raw receipt images to a cloud OCR service for parsing.
- No cloud sync or backend account system is included unless it is added in a future version.
Camera and photo access
Camera access is used to scan receipts. Photo Library access is used only when the user chooses an existing receipt image to import.
- Camera access is requested only for receipt scanning.
- Photo access is requested only for user-selected receipt imports.
- SquareQuote does not access unrelated photos without the user choosing them.
Local data and exports
Company profile data, customers, jobs, receipts, quotes, PDFs, and CPA export packages are stored or generated locally as part of the app workflow.
- Local app data may include company, customer, job, receipt, quote, PDF, and export records.
- Data may remain on-device until the user shares, exports, deletes, or resets it.
- Exports such as PDFs or ZIP packages are created at the user’s request.
- Users are responsible for choosing where shared exports are sent or saved.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans are handled through Apple in-app purchase using StoreKit. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are managed by Apple through the user’s Apple Account.
- SquareQuote does not use third-party ads.
- SquareQuote does not sell personal information.
- SquareQuote does not offer an external payment path that bypasses Apple for in-app subscriptions.
- Subscription billing is handled by Apple through StoreKit and the user’s Apple Account.
No third-party ads or sale of personal data
SquareQuote is not built around third-party advertising. JV Technologies LLC does not sell personal data collected through SquareQuote.
Resetting local data
If the app includes a reset local data action, using it may remove locally stored customers, jobs, receipts, quotes, PDFs, usage counters, and export records from the device. Review any confirmation prompt before resetting data.
