Vocavia Policy

Privacy Policy

Vocavia is a local-first language-learning app from JV Technologies LLC. This policy explains what the app stores on your device, how advertising may work for eligible adult Free profiles, and the privacy choices available to you.

Last updated: August 15, 2026

Learning data stays on your device

Vocavia stores household and learner profiles, language and accessibility preferences, lesson progress, activity results, and learning evidence locally so the app can work without an account or cloud service.

  • Vocavia currently has no cloud account, backend sync, or app-owned analytics service.
  • Local learning records remain on the device until they are reset, deleted, or removed with the app.
  • Vocavia does not send profile names, lesson answers, or local progress records to Google for ads.

Advertising eligibility

When ads are enabled in a production release, Vocavia may use Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform for eligible adult Free profiles. Known child, teen, and unknown-audience profiles do not initialize or request ads. Paid and temporary premium access is intended to remain ad-free.

  • Ads appear only at a lesson-completion break, never during an active learning interaction.
  • Vocavia limits ad opportunities in app code and disables Google's high-engagement ad setting.
  • Missing consent, eligibility, connectivity, or a ready ad never blocks learning or navigation.

Data processed by Google advertising services

Google states that its mobile advertising SDKs may collect or share data for advertising, analytics, performance, and fraud-prevention purposes. Depending on the platform and device settings, this may include:

  • An IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's general location.
  • App- or device-bounded identifiers and, where available, advertising identifiers.
  • Ad and product interactions such as app launches, taps, ad views, and video views.
  • Diagnostics and performance data such as crash, launch-time, hang-rate, and energy-use information.
  • Advertising data, including ads that have been shown.

Review the Google iOS disclosure, Google Android disclosure, and Google Privacy Policy for current details.

Consent and privacy choices

Vocavia uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and refresh consent where required and to determine whether ads may be requested. The adult experience provides access to privacy options when Google reports that they are required.

  • You may consent, decline, or manage available advertising choices in Google's regional message.
  • You may also use your iOS or Android device settings to manage advertising identifiers and privacy.
  • Vocavia does not request precise-location permission.
  • On iOS, Vocavia does not request permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Children and family profiles

Vocavia is designed for households, but the advertising path is restricted to eligible adult profiles. The app fails closed for known child and teen profiles and for profiles whose audience treatment cannot be determined. Local child learning records are not provided to Google for advertising by Vocavia.

Sharing, sale, and retention

JV Technologies LLC does not directly sell Vocavia's local household or learning records. Advertising processing by Google or listed ad partners may be considered a sale or sharing under some privacy laws; use the available privacy message or device controls to exercise applicable choices. Google and its ad partners control retention of data they process under their own policies.

Security and policy changes

Vocavia keeps its app-owned learning data in local application storage. Google states that Android data collected by its Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure. This policy may be updated when Vocavia's features, providers, or legal obligations change; the date above identifies the current version.

Your requests

You can reset local learning data in the app where that control is available, or remove the app to clear its local application data subject to platform backup behavior. For privacy questions or requests, contact JV Technologies LLC at [email protected].
